DVD Codes - Part 2
Aiwa XD-DV170
Plug the power into the unit but keep it turned off "OFF" should be on display. Press and hold "MENU" button on unit, while holding pressed that key, do the same with "TOP MENU" now you have two buttons pressed and finally do so with "OSD" you have to follow the sequence keeping pressed all previous keys Once you have "MENU" "TOP MENU" and "OSD" buttons, hold them for at least 3 seconds and "FACTORY" should appears on display. Turn on the unit In order to put it back to normal, use "F SKIP" instead of "MENU", "B SKIP" instead of "TOP MENU" and "POWER" instead of "OSD". "All Clear" should appear on display. Aiwa XD-DV370
Code 1;
Press the Pause button on your remote control. Using your remote control enter the code 3, 1, 4, 1, 5 and 9. Press the 0 button on your remote control for Region free, 1 for Region 1 or 2 for Region 2. Press the Pause button on your remote control. Power off your player and wait a few seconds. Power on your player
Code 2;
Power on the player with no disc inserted, and wait for the "No Disc" message on screen. Using the remote Press PAUSE and then Press the numbers 314159 in order. Press the number of the region you desire. Press PAUSE. Power off the player for a few seconds and power back up and insert your DVD disc! Aiwa XD-DV480
Code 1;
Power on player with no disc inserted and wait for "No Disc" message on screen. Using the remote Press PAUSE and then Press the numbers 314159 in order. Press the number of the region you desire. Press PAUSE. Power off the player for a few seconds and power back up and insert your DVD disc!
Code 2;
Same as above, but put 3412292 as the code.
Code 3; same as above, but put 8926 as the code.
Code 4;
Same as above, but put 342292 as the code. Aiwa XD-DW1
Turn on player, Insert any disc. Open the lid, take out disc and close the lid. Immediately press [Stop] and wait few seconds. Press 8,7,1,0 and then on remote. The player should be region free now! Aiwa XD-DW5
Code 1;
Turn on player, Insert any disc. Open the lid and take out the disc and close the lid. Immediately press [Stop], wait few seconds. Press 8,7,X,0 where x is the region code, e.g. –1 and then on remote. The player should be region free now!
Code 2;
Turn on player, Insert any disc. Open the lid, take out disc and close the lid. Immediately press [Stop] and wait few seconds. Press 8,7,2,0 and then on remote. The player should be region free now!
Code 3;
Same as above, but use the code 8,7,1,0 Aiwa XD-DW5
Use same codes as the DW5 and DW1 Akai ADV-8000
To input, OPEN the disc tray and input 8-9-2-6 on the remote control. The numbers appear as **** on the screen. Choose a region by pressing the corresponding number. E.g. Region 1 - 1. Multiregional - 0 etc. Akai DV-P1000
Turn the player off. Press and hold Eject and A-B on the player. Turn the player on. When A:00 D:12 appears, release the Eject and A-B buttons and use Play + and Stop - to change A until it reads A:05. Use Skip-Forward + and Skip-Backward - to change D until it reads D:00. Turn the player off and then back on, Akai DV-P2000
Turn the player off. Press and hold FF, Stop and the small black button on the underside of the machine. Turn the player on. When the Akai logo appears, release FF and Stop. When a list of numbers appears, press Enter on your remote to select the second column of numbers. Use Cursor Right to change this number to 00. Press Enter on your remote and Turn the player off. Release the black button. Turn the player on.
